I'm an official Oregonian---- or I'm just weird.

O.K, so usually the Oregon State song is "Rain, Rain go away, come again another day". On average July is our dry month--averaging only .57 inches of precipitation. But after a VERY rainy Fall, Winter and Spring we are on day 48 of NO RAIN! Today there is a 50% chance of rain, then the sun will be here for the next 10 days on our local forcast. The clouds are here, and get this! I'm actually "hoping" for rain! Just one day-- a day to make cookies, grab a jacket and watch the raindrops bounce off of the BBQ out back. Guess we'll see what happens. I know that the farmers are frantically turning their hay, cutting their straw, bailing, loading and hauling--so perhaps I should pray for no rain for them---if I could have it just rain over my house, that would be great. I need to remember all of those track meets watching the girls run, while I stood in the mud under the umbrella--cheering them on, and knowing I couldn't complain because they weren't complaining. Getting hot chocolate at the closest Starbucks to warm everyone up, as they changed into dry clothes in the back of the van. Yeah....rain can be a real pain, but you know a few drops to remind us of splashing in the puddles with my pink striped rain boots with my 4 yr. old doing the same in his Lightning McQueen boots. That's all I want.

You shouldn't have moved, cuz it rained here in Salem this morning. Just a sprinkle. I agree, a little rain is kind of nice, every once in a while. I like your Ed blog too! I was just going to harass you for not blogging lately.
