Brett had to be gone Sunday- Thursday this week so he really wanted to make the most of our family day- Saturday. So, we listed our options--State Fair, Louis Palau festival, bowling, silver creek falls, playing poker, going to the beach, the zoo...the list was pretty long. We voted and we each got to choose one thing. We started by going to my favorite Silverton mexican restaurant for lunch, then we headed to Silver Creek Falls for a short hike and some practice swings with the baseball bat. The weather was great and brett hadn't been to this waterfall yet. Then lunch, and home to grab our socks for a game of bowling. I hadn't been to the refurbished bowling alley in Silverton so I enjoyed it's family atmosphere and colorful crazy bowling balls. Josh was ahead most of the game--yes, I said JOSH! the bumpers really help, he kind of zig zags his ball down the lane and somehow it ends in the center a lot. These lanes have automatic bumpers that block the gutters for those you choose to have bumpers, so as soon as it's my turn the bumpers disappear and my ball has room to go into the gutter. Brett tried to teach carson his spinning technique, and megan tried granny style---in the end, Megan actually won! Then home for the campfire and s'mores by the creek & up to the house for a game of Poker that brittany won. Then finally bed. Great day!
