Day 6- the other side of the Island

We loaded up in our rental expedition and headed out for the other side of the island. The side we were on was more dry with fantastic beaches but we also wanted to see the tropical side as well. So, off we went! We went to our second Macadamia Nut factory and watched how they made the chocolate covered nuts and of course sampled a few. Drove and walked around the World Botanical Garden which had hundreds of beautiful tropical flowers and a labyrinth that the kids got lost in for awhile. I have a zillion (aprox) pictures of flowers but I won't post them all. Then it was time to hike and see some breathtaking waterfalls. Akaka Falls is the name of the really long waterfall pictured. The plants were huge and we felt like we were in some "Honey, I shrunk the kids movie". The bugs were on this side of the island as well, so we ended up with a few bug bites on our trip. We went to Waimea Canyon which was very pretty too.
