HAWAII--Day 3 & 4

These were busy days. We drove around half of the island and hit a few beaches, one of them being the "black sand beach" which was surprisingly soft and blacker than we expected. We also went to the "magic sand beach" but no magic happened, apparently the tide takes all the sand out sometimes and then it reappears!! After visiting the Volcano National Park, we walked through a half mile lava tube and ended up coming out in the beautiful jungle like terrain on the other end.

Brett found a Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant, so we had to go there. Carson found an itsy bitsy baby gecko. We did a little souvenier shopping and ended the 4th day with a hike to see the only active volcano erupting in the evening. It was just a short hike, and it really glowed beautifully at night, but our pictures didn't come out too well. So the picture of the volcano is one that someone else took with a better camera the day before. Still, it was cool!

Love the picture of the 4 kids on the beach. Brittany looks burned. What a cute tiny baby gecko. And you didn't have to say you didn't take the volcano picture, it's amazing!
Very cool! Makes me want to go back to Hawaii.
Still want to see more.
