Brett put some new stuff on his red mustang cobra and we had to go try it out on the dragstrip. I'm always in charge of bringing the cheering section, ear plugs and supplying them "energy" from the snack bar there to keep them going. Brett's goal is to get a better time than the last time he runs the strip. His time was a bit disappointing for him, but we're blaming the heat of the day as that always slows him down. Not that he was going slow---it's always over 100 mph, but it's on a straight strip, he wears a helmet and there is an ambulance standing by---so I'd much rather him do it there than on I-5. We were there until the sun went down and he got quite a few runs in. It was a day where pretty much anyone could race, so there were funny cars, motorcycles, VW bugs, lowered hondas that couldn't get over a speed bump if their life depended on it and trucks. Brett enjoyed racing the corvette the most I think though.
